Fire instruction notices
BS ISO 3864-1:2011 defines mandatory safety notices as messages sited to ensure that occupants are instructed of the obligatory actions in place to assure their life safety. Mandatory safety notices including fire action notices allow responsible persons to manage fire risk assessment requirements, by informing occupants, especially visitors, of emergency evacuation procedures and practices. Fire door safety notices such as fire exit keep clear signs, ensure that evacuees can safely escape from the building during an emergency evacuation; reducing the risks that develop from a blocked fire exit during an incident of fire. JALITE photoluminescent signs with integrated graphical symbols as specified in BS EN ISO 7010, are proven to instil familiarity of emergency procedures, and safe egress through fire doors, despite lighting conditions.
